Let's be honest—planning a funeral is one of life's most difficult tasks and not something that one can fully prepare for. However, one thing that's proven to make it less difficult is preparing for it before it happens. For that reason, millions of people every year choose to "pre-plan" or plan their funerals "ahead of time".

Now, although pre-planning your funeral IS a very wise thing to do and I highly recommend it for most people, the challenge is that funerals are very expensive, there are a lot of very important decisions to make, there are pages and pages of very technical, legal, and contractual documents to sign, and there are many ways it can be done wrong.

The way it's been done up until now is that you are at an extreme disadvantage due to limited information available, lack of money-saving tips, and lack of highly needed advice and guidance for your side. Until now, you are at the mercy of the salesperson to educate you and hopefully, they do it ethically and honestly.

REAL LIFE EXAMPLE - Just 3 months ago, my own Father-in-Law passed away. He had selected and paid for his Funeral Plan at the local funeral home over 15 years ago. When we met with the Funeral Director, the funeral home didn't want to honor his Plan and said his wife would have to pay $8,000.

I reminded the Funeral Director of the type of Plan that was purchased, and the Funeral Director reversed his statement and said they would honor the plan that was, of course, paid in full. Had I not known the "specifics" about the type of Plan that was purchased, the family would have had to pay the additional $8,000 for my father-in-law's services.

Unfortunately, I hear stories like this all the time and it can, and does happen to great families who have unknowingly bought the wrong type of Plan.

The truth is that although we want to trust people, it's NEVER a good idea to rely solely on the other party when you're spending a lot of money. Every year there are stories of families getting taken advantage of or thinking they're paying for one thing when they're actually paying for something they didn't want and the problem with that is that once you sign the paperwork, you've entered into a legal binding agreement that can't be changed or canceled.
